Get Started

Flash Cart is easy to install and integrates seamlessly with popular Shopify themes. You can design your cart right in the Theme editor with flexible drag-and-drop blocks to fit your brand and business needs.

Install Flash Cart

You can easily download Flash Cart from the Shopify app store and start using it for free. To continue using Flash Cart, you can activate your paid subscription, which includes additional levels of support and early access to new features.

STEPS

  1. Log in to the Shopify App Store.

  2. Go to the Flash Cart listing page, click Add app.

  3. In your Shopify admin, click Install app.

  4. After installing, you can find the Flash Cart app settings by click Apps in the Shopify admin sidebar or using the search bar.

TIP | Click the ‘pin’ icon beside Flash Cart to keep it visible in your Shopify admin.

Enable Flash Cart app embed

To start using Flash Cart, you need to disable your theme’s cart and enable the Flash Cart app embed in your Theme Editor.

1. Disable your theme cart

Since Flash Cart replaces your default cart, you must turn off any theme carts. If your theme cart is still enabled, the Flash Cart will not work.

These settings are usually in the Quick cart section (under ‘Overlays’ ) or in Theme settings > Cart.

STEPS

In your Theme Editor (Customize):

  1. Click the Theme Settings icon in the side panel.

  2. Find and open settings for your theme’s cart, quick cart, or quick cart notification.

    In most themes, cart options are found in the Overlay group or Theme settings. The option may be under a settings tab named: Cart, Quick cart, Cart type, Cart drawer.

    Find you theme documentation or contact the developer of your theme if you need help finding the cart settings.

  3. Click Save.

2. Enable Flash Cart App embed

After disabling your theme cart, you can now enable Flash Cart in the App embeds section of your theme editor.

STEPS

In your Theme Editor (Customize):

  1. Click the App embeds icon in the side panel.

  2. Click the toggle button to enable Flash Cart.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Click the Sections icon in the side panel to start customizing the Flash cart blocks and settings.

Quick setup

In the dashboard, click the buttons in the feature blocks to set up them up in the theme editor or dashboard settings.

Activate subscription

Once you install Flash Cart, your free trial period begins with access to all app features. The trial period ends once the 14 day period is over.

To continue using Flash Cart, you can activate your paid subscription. By subscribing, you can get access to live chat support, early access to new features, and video support.
